The Acne Scar Coverup

I've talked in the past about my skin troubles. I feel like I have tried everything and anything to get rid of it. But whilst I am trying to get rid of it, something that actually helps my face not feel as disgusting and oily is putting makeup on. I know this is probably counteractive, but I never realised how much more confident I feel with makeup on.

After using some of these products, I feel completely transformed. No longer am I hormonal spot girl, but I just feel a little bit more like myself. My main problem area is my chin, so this is where I focus most of my time. It does require a little bit of touch up during the day if I can be bothered or days when my skin is particularly bad, but these will suit me fine for now!

I first prime with the L'Oreal Infallible Mattifying Base. I sometimes skip this step, but if my skin isn't feeling hugely smooth, I will pop some of this one. I usually let this sink in for a few minutes before getting on with the rest of my makeup.

I then go in with the Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 hour foundation. This is quite a high coverage foundation, and I really like the way it goes on and covers any imperfections. I use the Real Techniques expert face brush to do this.

If I need extra coverage around my chin, I will then use the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer, with the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. I adore this sponge, as I pat in the concealer rather than spreading it around the spots, ensuring that they are totally covered up. I haven't tried this for my who face, just because I don't have time to pat it all in, as the brush is a lot quicker. However, I think the sponge is well worth the money, and I am really impressed. I will then finish with some powder and I'm done.

This doesn't always cover some of my more stubborn spots, but it does the trick as a great base.

Do you have any favourite products to cover acne?
