5 Everyday Beauty Essentials

One of the things I love about blogs is being nosy and seeing what people get up to in their daily lives (please say I'm not the only one who feels this!). I love seeing what products people buy, what routines people have as I am always seeking out inspiration. Seriously, reading and writing blogs has caused me to buy A LOT of beauty products as well as lifestyle things as well, just to try out!

I thought I would share some of my Everyday Makeup Essentials, maybe it'll give you some inspiration to find some new products, or just for you to have a nosy into my makeup bag!

It has only been in the past few months where I wear foundation or a base on a daily basis - damn you skin! I previously used to wear concealer and hope for the best - which usually didn't look good!

I recently picked up Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation (in Savers may I add where all Rimmel Makeup is under £5!) in Ivory and I love it! It's so much lighter than the Rimmel Lasting Finish and a better colour than the BB cream. I'm not sure I look more awake with it, but I am loving it!

Eyelash curler
I think I could live without all these things, but my eyelash curler, I really don't think I could! If this baby breaks, another one is there to take it's place. I know it's probably bad for your eyelashes, but if I don't put this on, I have eyelashes all in my eyes. Yikes!

If I'm having a no makeup day, I'll always still put mascara on. I had been using the Maybelline Lash Sensation which I recently repurchased as waterproof. I really like it, and man is it waterproof, but I didn't want to use it for daily use. So, on non rainy days, I use Collection Big Fake Curves, which I think for the money - I think it was £4.99 - this stuff is amazing. Keeps my eyelashes full and curled. Very very impressed.

I absolutely love my GHDs. They have seen me through the good and the bad hair days! I have had this pair since I was 16 and I am now 21, so they last for so so long, and still do an amazing job at taming my hair. I use them most days (with a heat protector, don't worry!) and I know that if they break, I will get another pair straight away.

Dry Shampoo
It has been my aim for a while to not wash my hair everyday. Whilst that still happens the majority of the time, I do try and give my hair a break once in a while. I've been on the hunt for a good dry shampoo and I've found the Herbal Essences one and it is great! For once I will venture out to uni for the day with unwashed hair when I have this on!

What are some of your beauty essentials?

  1. I definitely can't leave the house without some kind of eyeshadow look! Recently, I've been loving bhcosmetic's Galaxy Chic palette for a more glittery and out there look. It's a great eyeshadow palette at a very low price.
