February Things

How is it that another month has passed us by, and that it is getting ever closer to my dissertation deadline?! But it's that time of the month in which we talk about our favourites, and I have a few to share with you!

Music

Hamilton

If your a musical theatre fan, or not a musical theatre fan, this cast album is amazing. It recently won a Grammy (rightfully deserved) and it's like nothing I have heard before. Written by Lin Manual Miranda, the musical tells the story of Alexander Hamilton. No, I hadn't heard of his either, but apparently he was an American founding father. The songs are all influenced by RnB and rap songs. Basically the man is a genius and if I ever go to New York, or if a London transfer happens, I will be buying those tickets whatever the price. Just listen, and marvel in their awesome rap skills.

Adele - All I ask

Adele is just an absolute star, and I currently have this song on repeat. That seemless key change though. Goosebumps

TV

Younger

I first started watching Younger online as it has Sutton Foster (musical theatre legend) and Hilary Duff in it, plus it was written by the same writer as Sex in the City. Younger is a series about a 40 year old newly divorced woman trying to get back into the working world. She pretends to be 26 and gets a job as an assistant and has to hide it from everyone. I really like it, and can't wait to see how it all catches up with her!

Pretty Little Liars

Okay, so whilst some elements of the 5 years forward is slightly odd, I still want to find out what is going on. There are still so many things unanswered and whilst it is getting a little bit samey, I still can't stop watching. Actually, I pretty much watch just for Caleb #sorrynotsorry

Beauty

Body Shop - Tea tree mattifying lotion

I have been using this for a while, and I still love it. Newly rebranded as Mattifying lotion rather than skin clearing lotion, I think it is a much better name for it. It makes my skin feel so matte, and whilst I am still getting spots, this has to be helping right? Plus the packaging looks so much more sleek and grown up. Good work Body Shop.
