Makeup Revolution Brushes

I've been trying to get more into makeup recently, and when I spotted these Makeup Revolution brushes in Superdrug, I asked my mum to pick them up for me for Christmas. As I have mentioned before, makeup is not my forte, so having brushes for certain things, I was hoping, would make it easier.

The first thing I noticed was how soft they were, especially the powder brush. Some of the cheaper ones I have had have been a lot rougher, but these feel so much better quality. I haven't had any expensive ones, so I can't really compare, but they are just super super soft!

So far, I have used F104 Powder Brush, the F105 Contour Brush, the F103 Stippling Brush and the E103 eyeshadow brush. The only disappointment was the stippling brush, which I believe is used for foundation. Because it is so soft, I found it quite hard to buff my foundation and stop it looking streaky. I think I'll stick to my Real Techniques expert face brush for full face coverage in the future. The others did exactly what it said on the tin. I have a smaller eyeshadow brush and an eyebrow brush left to use in the set, but I can tell the ones I have used already will be the ones I reach for everyday.

For only £8 (but I believe they have gone down in the sale!) I think they're great for someone who is still getting used to wearing makeup everyday and doesn't want to splurge on a full set from Real Techniques. Here's to hopefully getting better with my makeup!

  1. The stippling brush is meant to be used very light-handedly which can be a little difficult at first haha. You're only supposed to lightly blend in the foundation with the white-haired part of the brush. Of course if the brush itself isn't that great it can leave the foundation looking a little streaky. But just a tip! :)
