Theatre Review - Dreamboats and Miniskirts!

If there is something that you should all know about me, it is that I LOVE musicals. I really love them. So of course, I jumped at the chance to go and see Dreamboats and Miniskirts this weekend with some friends.

'Dreamboats and Miniskirts' is the sequel to Dreamboats and Petticoats which I didn't actually see when it was on in the west end a few years ago. Nevertheless, it was pretty easy to pick up who the characters were and what had happened.

The first thing we noticed was that a group of 20 year old's was not the main demographic audience. However, we got into the full spirit and had a really great night.

It was a jukebox musical with songs from the 60s such as "I only want to be with you", "Twist and shout" and "Pretty woman". The cast had amazing voices that really suited the songs, and as soon as I went home I immediately tried to write down which songs were in it so that I could sing them when I am home alone! (life of a theatre kid!)

The story was slightly predictable and so cheesy, but hey, it was a super fun night and that's all we needed after a week full of deadlines!
