Edinburgh Fringe 2014

Some amazing balloon animals on the mile

Getting very bored in the queue for tickets

The best Frozen Yoghurt ever
I took a little break from my blog for the last few weeks as I was working up at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival flyering and helping out with marketing on a show. It was an amazing experience which I would encourage anyone to do, either working, or just going to see some great theatre.

My two weeks consisted of getting up very late, and then setting out to the Royal Mile (the main hub of the fringe) handing out flyers and promoting the show. As the fringe got started on the 1st of August, it was full of people and it was fantastic.

As well as spending my day humiliating myself by trying to get people to listen to what I wanted to say, I also saw some really amazing shows (and some less amazing), but that is what the Fringe is all about. Probably the best part was meeting the cast of some of the shows that we saw on the mile the next day or in the venue bar. It felt like such a community, and that's what I really loved about it. Everyone is so passionate about what they do and we all shared the same enthusiasm for theatre and just generally being in Edinburgh.

It really was an experience I will never forget and hope to go up next year as well.

(Plus, this was my first time taking pictures for my blog. I am not a photographer but I hope they are okay!)

    1. Aw thanks! I would definitely look into it if it is something you would like to do - I would love to go back either with the show I went up with this year or to work for one of the venues in their marketing side. There are so many possibilities :D xx

  2. Ah, I'm so jealous you were at the Fringe! I was asked to do a show there this year and I am now kicking myself for not doing it. It looks like you had fun!
